The Chern Medal is awarded every four years on the occasion of the International Congress of Mathematicians to an individual whose accomplishments warrant the highest level of recognition for outstanding achievements in the field of mathematics.
Launched in 2016, the Breakout Fellowship Program financially supports postgraduate students from a developing country, to obtain a Ph.D. degree in the mathematical sciences. A limited number of grants is awarded annually for excellent students from developing countries.
The GRAID Program provides modest support for emerging research groups, working in (Priority 1 or 2) developing countries to fund talented students pursuing a Master or Ph.D. graduate degree in mathematics.
